MEMORIES OF CHILDHOOD

-         Karan Dubey

Was listening to this song called Amnesia when all this started.
All my past memories came crashing down on me. I didn't know what to do or how to react so I decided to write about it and here it is.
It’s funny how we start feeling so empty inside whenever we come across these beautiful memories of our childhood. Those were the times with no worries, no damn care in the whole world, time of absolute freedom when all we used to do was play in the backyard with our friends. Who cared about politics, job or studies? All we cared about was enjoying the moment not trying to survive in this world. No one used to judge us and we found solace in the characters of the cartoons we loved. Those were golden times.
But then something happened we didn't realize this but one day we grew up. The Cartoons and games got replaced with studies and the continuous pressure to fit in this society. That innocence we had as a child was gone. Now we had to be clever and selfish so that we could survive in this cruel world. Everything changed and we forgot our childhood. But imagine this one day sitting alone in the room you come across a song that is in some way related to your childhood days. You didn’t realize it but all those memories that were till-now suppressed comes crashing down on you, drenching you with all sorts of emotion you don’t quite understand.
And these are the times you don’t know what to do or how to feel, you just sit alone away from the crowd on the rooftop or in an isolated room, maybe play a song that you relate to the memories in some way and keep staring in to a corner until you realize, the tears are falling down your cheeks.
You say what’s happening? i don’t cry i am a strong person! But these things are not in your control. You haven’t cried in years but today you can’t stop those tears, they just keep on rolling on their own accord, meanwhile you just put up an empty smile thinking about the memories. Wiping down the tears you think about the people, and all the friends, the things you used to do with them and now realizing how stupid they were brings a big smile on the face.
It’s difficult to imagine in that moment how you feel. You are smiling and crying simultaneously, shivers are running down your body and you suddenly start feeling cold. You feel frustrated, happy, sad and all other sorts of emotions that you have only read about in books. This is exactly how you feel.
But it doesn't end here, without you realizing the minds turn to the future. The people you have in your life, the realization that people you love they will all be gone someday. You had a fight with your mom, with your girlfriend the other day or some sorts of misunderstanding with your best friend and you are not on talking terms to them, but after witnessing these feelings and emotions you would like to patch everything up before it’s too late, and then you call them. You show them your appreciation and love and thank them for being with you at every path of your life.
Yes growing up is difficult but the hardest thing is coming across these kind of feelings. Now writing about it, does make it easier for me to deal with them but i guess there’s no way we can shake them off. After all it’s a part of our past.

Want SUCCESS? First, Recognize Your Talent!

Life isn't always sunshine and rainbows. Sometimes, you need motivation to hit on your back so that you can move forward more smartly. No matter how tired, frustrated or depleted, we are, we have to find a way to go out of our comfort zone and make it happen! We all know that we have a winner inside us.
Only some of us are able to find it, appreciate it and use it in the right way. To taste the real success, we have to recognize our greatness, our talent first. The talent that we are still searching! Isn't it?

To get through the odds so that we can bring up something; we have to struggle to achieve what we want and become who we want! Here are some useful tips for a quick self-esteem boost and to know what your talent is. Take a glimpse to spark off your creative mind!

  • Do Something New or Unfamiliar
Doing something with your non-dominant hand will give your brain a kick in the pants and will support your overall creativity. You'll come to know that how can you do that same thing in different ways. With the practice of trying, you'll overcome the fear of trying new things.
  • Increase your Vocabulary
Increasing your vocabulary doesn't mean you have to cram  and chew up a ton of words in one go, just add two words and learn their meanings in a day. Try to use those learnt words during your conversation- makes it more challenging and fun!
  • Pick any Object and Try to Describe it in 10 Different ways
What is in front of you now? Most probably a laptop, a coffee mug, wallet or whatever it is...shiny...amazing...classy..try to give at least 10 adjectives to it. This will help pull up your creativity and generate ideas of thinking in different ways about one thing.
  • Experiment
Try new things. Go for some unusual experiments like if you are into music...try to hear some different kind of genre. If you are into dance, then try some new form...if into cooking..try some new dish. This will not only create interest in doing things, but you'll find new ways and add flavor!
  • Give your Hobby an Extra Time
We all have one or another hobby that we do it with full interest and engaging ourselves. So, if our hobby interests us that much then why not to give some extra hours to it. This will add finishing to it and who knows at which minute we'll come up with a bright idea.
  • Appreciate Yourself
Tap your back for every task you complete! Don't be afraid to reward yourself. Enjoy every moment of your journey and remember you are the first one to motivate yourself!
  • Slow Down
If you are too much involved in daily activities, then please take a break! Give yourself some time. Go for a walk, do meditation, put on some music and dance. Come back with a fresh and rejuvenated mind!
Use
Always focus on your outcome. Many people know what they want, but they don't know WHY they want? First, make your WHY clear and then your way to success will automatically become clear!
Please leave your comments below. Let us know how these ideas fit into your life!

It's your DREAM - Chase it! Take it! Live it!

Have you ever dreamed of panning wild gold riches mine or just exploring in streets of London or Paris with your DSLR camera or spending a day relaxing on a white sand beach in a blue tent or lying in a bath tub of warm water blowing bubbles in a lavish amazingly scented bathroom?

Well! Why NOT? We always DREAM of something or everything sitting anywhere; no matter in a boring , in a bus, train etc. We can DREAM whatever we want to. But the needle stops when it comes to that, how many of us think of chasing that Dream, struggling for it, taking initiative for it?

Hardly 2 or 3 out of thousands who live their own DREAM. Sachin Tendulkar is one of them. He lived his Dream for 16 years and who doesn't know his name as a famous renowned cricketer. He is from the same planet that we belong to. So If he can. Why can't we?
Because he started chasing his dream at the age of 16.

But, we are still struck in the materialistic stuffs, our never-ending desires, personal lives, relationships. Ask these questions before taking your thoughts to the further note.

Are you still struck in the past and getting anxious about the future?
Are we in a search of a perfect moment?
Are you slave of people's opinion and approval?
Have you ever asked yourself where is your life heading? What's your final destination?

We are living in a society of Go-getters! There are plenty of reasons which are dragging us down, distracting our mind to see our goal. Ask yourself where you want to be and how?
You have to be focused, simpler yet enthusiastic with a lot and lot of HARD WORK!
In a more simpler way, keep these five mantras in your mind to make everything go in a smooth manner and keep you focused to your aim.
  • Improve your self-esteem and self-confidence
  • Create a simpler and happier life
  • Improve your concentration
  • Reduce your stress and keep more of most of the things done right now
  • Lots of HARD WORK!
Try to implement these mantras in your life. Gradually, the blurr look will convert into a clear vision. After all its your DREAM. Chase it! Take it! Live it!
Because every DREAM matters!
